One of my favorite horseback rides ever. Been coming here for over 30 years one of the best places to ride in camp great owners great people.

Great trail! Overlook is worth it! Loop brings in many of the trails including the very rocky side of O&E (might be considered difficult by some)

Had a great ride. It was cold. It was in the 30s and the horses were feeling it.
Trails were well maintained. We Stopped at wildcat den cave and hippie cave.

It’s very long and easy
Beautiful overlooks, but seems like forever to get to, but very easy ride

Rien de particulier à voir mais belle forêt. Beaucoup de pitch, que je dois marcher

Nice trail and well maintained. If hiking , keep in mind that the trail is shared with bicyclists 🚴♀️ Careful around the blind curves.

This was the Twin Arches Loop starting at Charit Creek Lodge and back. Was very rewarding.

My track was 6.4 miles. It seems that the trail may have expanded over time. Counterclockwise is steeper downhill for the first half and longer incline the second half. Had to go slow because the trail was covered in rocks and roots covered by leaves this time of year.

Trails were rocky and definitely need an experienced rider. Our group had a great ride

Fabulous horse ride, excellent footing, creek crossing and lots of trees for shade which hide the fact your on a bluff most of the ride. Large rock formations midway are a good place to have lunch.

I like this loop but it did not record it all, it’s got Creek crossings, cliff views, goes over an arch which you’d never know til you here the thump of hollowness under you horses feet.

Beautiful place to ride horses, cliffs, big bottom trees, creeks, flowers, beautiful interesting old stone foundations however we had to turn around because of the mud, shame too as at one time the trails were roads for the long lost community that was there. I’ll be back when it’s dry season.

10 mile trail ride from big south fork Mill creek TH to O&W up Christian Cemetery across panther branch down little cliff back up O&W. Nice river trail with large boulders, one beg enough for lunch at the bottom of little cliff, the trails are in decent shape, panther was overgrown but passable. O&W Beautiful as usual, laurels hanging over the river was a pleasant ride indeed.

Trail in good condition and there is an Arch plus a sand cave right off Charit creek lodge connection.

One of the more difficult sections of the Sheltowee in BSF. South of the O&E bridge things get steeper and more eroded. Nothing terrible but not like most of the Sheltowee to the North.

Bandy Creek Campground to Fall Branch Trail to JMT to Station Camp Creek Trail to Charit Creek Lodge to Bandy Creek Campground. Beautiful views of the BSF gorge with awesome camping. Descends to Station Camp Creek with camping alongside the creek. Swings by Charit Creek Lodge before climbing back up to Bandy Creek Campground. Easy trail except for a couple of ascents up from Station Camp Creek.

This was a ride on horseback. Beautiful day but warm so riding along the water made it very pleasant. No bugs, very little mud, a bit Rocky from recent heavy rains.

14.5 mile out and back including spurs to Dick’s Gap Overlook, Catawba Overlook and Dick’s Gap Falls. Camped at Laurel Crossing.

Amazement around every corner. Waterfalls, caves, and waterfalls IN caves. It’s a show stopper.

Stunning natural arches and cliffs. The trail winds through delightful woody trails, a marshy area, and sandstone cliffs. Spur from and to parking is about 1/2 mile. Well-maintained stairs and ladders around North Arch can be slippery with icing, but have sturdy handrails for security. Summary--delightful trek; well worth the time driving to trailhead.

Great ride for moderate riders. Two river crossings and lots of rock features. Beautiful place to trail ride horses.

Good trails. For moderate riders. Beautiful country but could do without seeing the houses from the road section.

Very good trail but muddy due to lots of rain earlier in week. Some rocks but not bad. Went with MK Nelson, Beatrice and Heidi. Vanessa is owner of lodge.

Hatfield loop but went down to Charit Creek first. Good ride. Can see more when leaves are off. This is the ride you see the spider roots on the rocks and pretty down by Creek. Off of 154 you take 2 left turns then 2 right turns to get to Gobblers Knob trailhead.

This was a great hike. On the way out to yahoo falls the Sheltowee only has two campsites until alum ford. These were taken so We camped by river but were 100% confident it would not rain. Tough to get water must use river. No campsite on return by negro creek. My favorites views were lick creek falls and the yahoo falls.

This is a fantastic hike -- the long loop around (past Charit Creek Lodge) is definitely worth it! You go from the Arches to a lowland forest to a marshy area then back up and through some really stunning sandstone cliffs. The elevation gain is not that great -- a few hundred feet out and back, mostly in some steep stairs around the Arches and a few hairpin switchbacks -- but it was not really too difficult, and the scenic payoff is worth every minute of it. I agree that the distance, from the parking lot and back to the parking lot, is more like 6 miles.

Lick Creek Trail plus Negro Creek Trail/Yahoo Falls Trail loop. Side trail to Lock Creek Falls. You’ll also pass Princess Falls, Marker Arch, Yahoo Arch and Yahoo Falls.

This is a great hike. The trail is well groomed and is maintained by the Big South Fork Mountain Biking Club. The hike offers many cliff-top views of the Big South Fork and it’s surrounding bluffs.

This is one of my top 5 favorite trails ever. This trail has everything you can want if you go after a rain. It was stunning waterfall features, beautiful moss covered rocks, and just enough boulder climbing to give you a really good leg workout. Take the side trail to the overlook, and climb the wooden ladder to explore the cave. The ladder steps are wooden and spin, but totally worth the climb. Can’t wait to hike it again.

One of our favorites. Hiked during the quarantine shutdown so part of the trail was seriously blocked with downed trees close to the river. Beautiful blooms, cool breeze, and fascinating rock formations are clear at this point in the season.

Great hike. You can take the loop trail or hike straight out to the arches. Lots of wood steps. There is also a large crack cave associated with the second arch that is well worth going through. This may be called Maudes Crack. Not positive on that.

This is one of the best hikes I've ever done, it's beautiful and rugged. I don't know why it's rated as easy, it's definitely moderate-to-difficult and wouldn't take kiddos or wouldn't do this one if you're not well-conditioned for it, but very well worth doing. Of note, at just under two miles you come to the stairs for the lookout (incredible view), once you come back down take a right and backtrack a little to go back down towards the creek, don't take a left from the stairs, there's a pseudo trail but once it starts descending it gets pretty treacherous and only then so you realise it's not the proper trail

Easy hike with just a couple if elevation changes. Depending on time of year there is a bit of water but nothing too deep or muddy. Very pretty rock formation and a couple of rock houses. Beautiful in winter as icicles form from the rock houses. Nice trail head, no facilities, only trash cans.
