Linville Gorge Devil's Hole Trail (9/27/20, 7:54:49AM)

Early morning hike down into the Linville Gorge from Table Rock Rd., using the Gaia GPS mapping/hiking app., in airplane mode, along with a Garmin 235 watch, to compare the metrics. Much prefer the Gaia, as the satellite data seems more accurate. Linville River running at 213 CFS according to USGS river flow site: https://waterdata.usgs.gov/nc/nwis/uv/?site_no=02138500&PARAmeter_cd=00065,00060 Trail conditions: Upper portion: steep, but well defined trail. Lower portion: trail not well defined, numerous blowdowns, roots, large rock step-offs, and approximately four stream crossings. Very difficult drop last 75 feet to the river.
