Got a late star, which wasn’t much of a problem this time of year, but the trail is extremely overgrown and shorts were miserable while beating the brush so we turned around and enjoyed the little camp spot we saw on the way up. This trail is soft and narrow. Although it is along the creek, the trail remains high above it, rendering it inaccessible by stock, dogs, or person, the majority of the way. Trail condition is rather unsafe for stock. Even a sure footed animal could easily fall if the trail gave out along the edge. No room to turn stock around for 95% of the trail. Mostly shaded while along the creek but still need to go prepared with lots of water.
