This is a great trail with a lot of variation in vegetation and hiking conditions. It has rolling hills, washes, a small canyon, lots of ups and downs some with steps. We only went as far as the overlook at the Lost Palms Oasis end. There is some scrambling to go on down which we chose not to do. Take pleanty of water with you. I would rate this trail moderate to moderately challenging.
