The first mile is pretty rough as it is all pretty much up hill. After that it is smooth sailing with beautiful views of the valley below. Many aspen groves to walk through. If you go down to the creek that parallels the trail it is very pretty. The mine site itself is really cool just watch for nails and glass. If you go at the right time of year you could have a belly full of wild strawberries and raspberries.
