Nice road in general good quality. Most of the rolling dips after the Forest Service gate were perfectly sculpted, making travel easy. I would take new road construction teams here to see how to build rolling dips. The road is relatively wide with a few tight spaces until you reach the Forest Service gate. After that there are places where the brush encroaches in places. There are a few pull out locations and one side trip to Beegum Creek. Maps show some branching roads. The branching roads do not exist from the gate on. This route is described in Backcountry Adventures, Northern California, North Coast #10.
