Gunsight Butte-Badger Lake Loop Hike (8/24/19, 9:01:39AM)
We enjoyed this hike. There was one overgrown area on the trail near Badger Lake that was about a mile or so long that scratched up our lower legs, but it wasn’t horrible. We also missed an unmarked turn/hard to see trail at the southern end of the hike (see track). The west portion of the loop was definitely the best. Great views of Mt. Hood. The west portion is also a mountain bike trail. We saw 3 sets of bikers on this section. Oh, the last 1.5 miles of the road leading into the trailhead is narrow, rocky and bumpy. You should have a higher clearance vehicle.
And, once again, I forgot to turnoff recording the track as we drove off. So the track so some extra. It’s about a 8.5-9 miler. I wish the app recognized driving and shut off automatically. Other than that,
