Trail is rugged due to low traffic and low maintenance. Map skills my be of good use. I rate this hike as rugged Because of many blow downs, stream crossings, trail is over grown and easy to get turned around on. Lots of Rhododendrons and complete solitude. Lots of green moss and the feeling of being deep into the wilderness. Water sources looked to be plentiful most or all year
