2021/09/27 Fun hike for Julie, Mark, and Mike Bender. Decent exercise because the return leg (Northward) of this Out & Back hike is a slow, steady uphill climb. Many large, interesting boulders strewn about just off the trail. Great views of the surrounding mountains. It might make sense to reverse the direction of our next hike so that the climbing is done on first leg, thereby making for an easy return. But a potential problem with reversing the legs is that parking is extremely limited at the Southern terminus of the Route. The Route ends at a dirt road (Tahquitz View Drive), where we saw two or three cars parked on the side of the road. There wasn’t much room for additional cars. We couldn’t tell if there would be more parking on on of the other roads in the area.
