Awesome hike. Very Easy to the base of the mountain. Watch for the red hiker signs in the wash and pay attention to the rock trail markers people have put in place. Easy-Moderate from there to the mine. The pathway was very good but uphill, no rock scrambling. This is one of my top three hikes in the park and we saw no other hikers which was nice.
