Buckman Crossing to Otowi Peak

Nice spring or fall hike, not far from Santa Fe. Relatively short, (less than 5 miles round trip) but steep and rocky for about half of the time. Trail only has two grades, nearly flat and steep. Great 360 degree view from top. Drive to end of Buckman Road and park near Rio Grande. Head NE, parallel to Rio, along abandoned jeep road about 100 yards offset from river. Make a sharp right at large sandy wash. Continue up wash until well-make trail leave on left-hand side. It's easy to follow from that point on.
