The Beara Way is a long-distance hiking trail that explores the scenic and historic Beara Peninsula in Ireland.
The trail loops around the peninsula, passing through mountains, valleys, coastlines and villages and includes walks on the beautiful Bere Island and Dursey Island.
Along the way, hikers can enjoy the views of the Atlantic Ocean, the Caha and Slieve Miskish mountain ranges, and the many lakes and rivers that dot the landscape.
The trail also offers a glimpse into the prehistoric and early Christian heritage of the area, with sites such as stone circles, burial monuments, churches and copper mines.
