Fantastic loop in Mt. Zirkel Wilderness. Trail in great shape and easy to access. We arrived at trailhead around 8 am on a clear Saturday and were 4th or 5th car. Hike took about 6 hours including leisurely lunch at Gilpin Lake. We did the loop counterclockwise and highly recommend this way. Saw 6 people on the way to Gilpin, but >30 on the way back to parking area, which was packed and overflowing when finished around 2 pm.
