Boundary Mt up
We drove into Mt Gosford state park in Canada and stopped at the gate house. The Ranger was very helpful and told us about two approaches to Boundary Peak, one a hiking trail and the other the often used ATV trail and walk the border approach. We drove the state park dirt road around the western and southern edges, before turning off to the right to drive up to a parking area (this last road was rough and to drive beyond the first parking area to the right you should have a vehicle that has higher clearance with all wheel drive). Disregard my data and beginning of route map since I turned the APP on while still driving to find where I was. On the map you can see where the rough road turn to the right is located. The ATV trail leaves the parking area to the right and crosses a stream before going straight uphill and gradually turning to the left arriving at the border clearing. The ATV trail is newer so it does not follow at the start the trail on your GAIA GPS, but does rejoin the old trail closer to the border. We walked the border ATV dual tracks to the Peak. The Peak is called Panther Peak on the sign. It was interesting that on the border on the way back my iPhone would not work, reading DISABLED FOR 15 Minutes.
