An moderate 10 mile hike with modest elevation gain. Plan on taking it slow as the scenery will compel you to take pictures and be awestruck. A remote part of the state but easy to get to with a paved road all the way to the trail head. This is a STUNNING area with jaw dropping, head spinning rock formations. Pit toilets and picnic area at the trailhead. Improved camping facilities at the base of the mountain. Strongly consider adding the drive through the Chiricahua Mountains on FR 42 to really absorb this beautiful area.
