Picayune Strand, Blue Trail with shortcut to Triple G Loop. (3/7/20, 6:58:04AM)

Sugar sand was super dry and powdery. Hasn’t rained in several weeks, and there was no water anywhere along the Blue Trail, shortcut, and Triple G loop. I drive a RWD 2008 Wrangler JKU and had no problem in the sand, except when I slowed to say hi to an FWC officer on the side of the trail. $75 traction boards easily got me up and running again. Second time I’ve run the Blue Trail in 2WD. The shortcut to Triple G is marked only by a handmade sign, and will easily be deep water after a moderate rainfall. Will not be heading out when muddy and wet until I can add front axle and drive shaft for full 4WD.
