This wasn't the trail experience I was expected at all! The south loop had some very steep and rough sections and required 4wd and low to navigate. Even when not steep the trails were quite rough with rock and we encountered lots of mud. That being said, there was some really cool scenery. We also encountered an old mine. We walked 10 feet into the mine and temp dropped substantially. Neat. We also encountered other UTVs on the route, first time for that. Flag Mountain was definitely a highlight. The view was amazing. Flag mountain was on the north side of our route and the terrain changed in alignment with my expectation. More open, rolling hills, with limited trees.
