This was an absolutely amazing hike my brother and I conquered together. The weather was beautiful and we did it two days after arriving in Colorado on our annual summer trip. The crested butte side was breathtaking with an amazing display of wildflowers and the aspen side had some amazing views. The path was really steep the last mile to the peak especially the last half mile. The rocky descent into aspen was tough and hard on our feet. The lake view at base of maroon lake was amazing. A real bucket list item. Crested butte side much better than aspen side
