A wonderful 23 mile loop trail from South Fork campground with a 12 mile stint on the PCT. If you hate going up switchbacks I strongly recommend doing this trail counter-clockwise. With over 5,000 feet of elevation gain this trail is for hardy hikers. The trail afforded me ample shade and water throughout when I hiked this in September. The first few miles are buggy and the last 4 miles are even more so, with a county trail that is not so well maintained. Little Jimmy Campground is a great place to stay the night and the nearby spring is perfect. Note that Lamel Spring was just a trickle for me, so recommend you get water elsewhere.
