This is the circuit by the Spokane house in the part of Riverside State Park that for some unknown reason has had the gate closed for almost 5 years now.

Such a beautiful ride. Started out on the high trail looking down over the park. The trail then descended on a narrow but easily passable switchback area to the “burn” - recovering vegetation from 1991 fires. After making a pit stop at a convenient potty by the Centennial Trail, we continued across the CT to get down to the river. The trail gives lovely views of the river from various elevations, and we stopped for lunch at an access point. The route then looped back across the CT, along the base of the bluff, and then back up to the parking area.

Not usually a lot of hikers here, just horses. I love to trail run with my dog here!
