Only hiked to the petroglyphs, via the Gila trail. 2 hours-ish. Sandy trail.

This is a great out and back hike. Easy enough for my 5 year old to walk the whole way. Most of the trail is fairly flat with lava rock beneath the feet. There is a steep climb to the cave, but we’ll worth it.

This is a beautiful hike especially in the late fall winter or early spring after a recent storm.

This was my first time hiking out past the paradise rim overlook on the scout cave trail. It is pretty amazing there and there are some pretty steep sections but the views make it worth it I hike back in the dark and the trail was pretty easy to follow. I use my new headlamp which is the biolite 750 and that thing lit up the area really well.

The hike is fun, with a thin trail and winding around the cone. The mixture of lava rock and other rocks is great. The view is good, but don't expect the usual Southern UT red rocks here.

Snow Canyon State Park. A short drive from downtown St George UT. Plenty of kid and senior friendly hiking. The park is absolutely stunning. Fall, Winter, or early Spring are the best times to hike. Summer would be brutal, but there is plenty of water in the park. Bathrooms are scattered throughout the park and are clean.

A pretty evening hike that will take 1-2 hours depending on your pace (or less if you’re fast).

This is an easy hike behind our Development. It’s lovely, but no more so than many others in Red Cliffs and can be crowded at the trail head because there is only street parking.

Loved the petroglyphs locations. Two slot canyons and 2 panels. No real trail so bring a gps.
