This hike was more than this fat Texan expected. But great views, I was lucky to get a breezy day and cloudy. So I had no biting gnats problems. If you’re brave, take the decent directly down the ridge and forgo the western lower trail that returns to the tower. It’s rad. I watched a guy with the dog for what its worth. Ha ha.

Absolutely gorgeous! I did this hike in about 2.5 hours round trip. I had microspikes and didn’t have any issues.

Great hike. Muddy and slippery at times. Spikes and poles recommended.

Really nice relatively easy hike. It’s a decent amount of miles but a beautiful walk. We went 01/01/2021 to bring in the new year on the top of a mountain. Amazing fog happening that day as well.

This is my favorite trail for its beautiful surroundings, mountains, Lake, and solitude yet so close to the Utah cities without the noises and traffic.

A little muddy at first and then some deep snow. Glad I had hiking poles but spikes were not necessary. Amazing scenery at the top with all the snow covered mountains. Didn’t see any animals. Started at 8:40am, finished by 12:15, took our time.
