Salt Springs State Park is a state park in Pennsylvania that is 842 acres through the combination of Salt Springs State Park and the Friends of Salt Springs (http://friendsofsaltspringspark.org/html/welcome.html)
The park has 15 miles of trails, historic farm buildings, cottages, camping and picnic grounds. Volunteers run a variety of programs throughout the year including educational, celebratory and athletic.
The Wheaton House is considered the main entrance. At this location users can find ample parking, access to multiple trailheads, pit toilets, 3 cabins, and 8 camping sites. There are additional parking areas at the other trail heads and the park encourages users to explore the trails beyond those found at the Wheaton House.
The park is open every day of the year, sunrise to sunset. Day use areas close at dusk.
Permits are needed for camping, cabin use and special events.
Dogs are allowed if they are on-leash and are cleaned up after.
