Perhaps nice in late spring as remnants of wildflowers were evident. Nice forest at start and end of hike, but most of hike through clear cut. Trail a bit overgrown but easy to follow. Some steeps sections.

This is a pleasant day hike suitable for families. There are stairs in a few locations some of which are a little steep for one step at a time. If the ground is wet suitable shoes with good traction will reduce the tendency to slip. A few guidebooks call this a backpacking trip for first timers or kids; there is only one place flat enough pitch a tent and its right off the trail.
Lots of newts. I mean a lot.
I would hike this again.
