BerryMill pond trail was a disaster- tons of blowdown and deadfall, some flooding.

I love this hike. It’s an out-and-back 8 mile total. This trail is about as flat as an ADK trail gets. It’s easy with very little elevation change. Parts of this trail can be very wet particularly in the Spring. The parking area is large and has a Privy. Pharaoh Lake is host to five Leanto’s with a view of the lake. I’ve made this hike many times and never grow tired of it.

Pharaoh is a great reward for a not so difficult hike. If you drive into the Crane Pond trail head you need to be prepare for a completely washed out road. The views of Schroon Lake, Pharaoh Lake, Crane Pond, Goose Pond, the high peaks to the north are wonderful. It’s about 2.5 miles each way from Crane Pond and only becomes challenging about the last 1/2 mile.
