The 6,580-acre Neversink Unique Area features a spectacular gorge and several waterfalls, Denton Falls, Mullet Brook Falls and High Falls. The Nature Conservancy designated the Neversink River as one of the 75 "Last Great Places" in the United States, Latin America and the Pacific. This unique area is a great destination for hiking and fishing.
The main access point is through Katrina Falls Road, where you get access to more than 11 miles of trails, and is a short hike from the Neversink river.
The Mullet Brook Loop and High Falls Trail are also accesible through the neighboring Wolf Brook Multiple Use Area.
There is also access on the west side of the river through Cold Spring Road.
The lands are accessible year round, but only open to the public from one-half hour before sunrise until one-half hour after sunset.
Camping is not allowed.
Fishing, hunting and trapping are allowed with permits during their respective seasons.
There is a 1.5 mile trail that allows ATV use for people with disabilities.
Dogs are allowed and a common sight in the trails.
