This hike was harder than what I expected with pretty steep inclines. My legs were very tired by the end. It was a rainy hike but the rock faces did not get too slippery. The trail through the forest was really pretty. I want to come back to enjoy the views on a nicer day so I’d certainly do this again.

This was a tough hike with not many breaks in the climbing other than a few false summits. I did it with my dog and he had no problem. My only complaint was the number of people there but it’s so gorgeous I can see why there were so many.

3 mile steep hike rewards you with spectacular views of the Adirondack high peaks. Park in designated area off Rt 73 or risk a ticket.

Tough steep hike and the full traverse from Rt73 to Rt9 is pretty difficult with all of the elevation gain and loss. The views all day made the trip worth it. Would do again.
