Solid hike with solid views. Strongly recommend doing it ccw and starting at either the Willow Loop or the Upper White Rock Mtn trailheads.

The white rock trail is a loop, but since I only had about an hour before sundown I start I the north side and did an out an back. Great trail with a little bit of rocky change and some decent uphill followed by rolling downhill both ways. Treated with a nice view of the Las Vegas valley right at sundown. Will come back for the whole loop!!!

Trail from parking lot is majority off-roading terrain.
Lots of uneven gravel & boulders.

I’d do it counterclockwise next time and start from the White Rock TH, but this is a beautiful and relatively quiet (at least in mid December) hike.

It’s unfortunate that the park doesn’t allow you to get started before 8:00 am, so naturally, it was hot. Mostly exposed, and several portions are large loose gravel with precarious footing. I would still rate as easy-moderate, definitely disagree with the difficult rating listed as of today.
Great sights, with a wide variety of environments. Wildlife and nature abounds with very clearly marked trail.
