An amazing day hike that follows the streams for most of the way before turning up to switchbacks until you reach the peak. Most of the valley up to the ridges had a stand replacement level burn that is only just now starting to regrow. In the meantime the wildflowers in July were amazing. The views from the top are incredible and almost unbroken.

This is one of our favorite hikes. Only 4 stars today because of the yellow jackets in one spot had a hole on the edge of the trail that we didn’t see until we were stung several times. I’m over it already and ready to go again soon!

Never a dull moment on this amazing trail. Take a chainsaw if you go early, you’ll need it

A gradual uphill from the trailhead while listening to the creek. This hike is fairly quick and has a beautiful payoff view of the creek, alpine meadow, and surrounding mountains. Well worth the time.

Great spring skin. Freezing temps the nite before then into 50’s during the day, no clouds. Perfect corn we hen we went down. Started skimming around 9:45, started skiing around 11:45.

Easy hike for 74 year old, Lots of dead and down pines from bark beetles. But the view from meadow was spectacular. Didn’t make it to lake; rain coming and rain gear in camper.
