Cloudland Canyon State Park is a state park in Georgia. Located on the western edge of Lookout Mountain, Cloudland Canyon is one of the largest and most scenic parks in the state. Hiking and mountain biking trails abound. The most popular hiking paths include the short Overlook Trail, strenuous Waterfalls Trail and moderate West Rim Loop Trail. Mountain biking is available at the newly developed Five Points Recreation Area and along the green blazed 14-mile Cloudland Connector Trail (CCT). Horse riders may also use the CCT. Besides the main parking area in the park, there are four other trailhead parking lots (all requiring the $5/vehicle fee; self-service, so bring exact change). Sitton's Gulch Trailhead is found at the base of the mountain near Trenton, Georgia. The Ascalon Road Trailhead has a very large parking lot, and this is where horse trailers must park. The CCT runs through this trailhead, connects to Five Points Trailhead, and ends at the Nickajack Road Trailhead.
There are also fully-equipped and comfortable cottages, quirky yurts or several different types of camping and backpacking options.
