Little Manatee River State Park is located in southern Hillsborough County, Florida about 30 miles south of Tampa. The park is bisected by the river from which it gets its name. Multiple trails provide opportunities to hike, paddle, and ride horseback throughout the park. The 6.2 mile loop trail (hikers only) on the north side of the park is very popular and takes you through a variety of habitats. A primitive campsite is also available along trail. The main section of the park south of the river has a number of equestrian trails that are also hiker-friendly. Routes of varying length can be made throughout the grassy woodlands. Picnic shelters, a playground, a developed campground, equestrian campsite, and a primitive group campsite are all available here. An ADA-accessible canoe/kayak launch provide river access to paddlers of all abilities.
