Routine weekly or so that is great on a cool cloudy day like this one. Steepest ascent in the area. During summer you should wrap plastic around your socks. Also under wetter conditions this is 4 stars.

Always great for trail running. Get an early start if it looks like it’s going to be a hot day, it’s pretty exposed. Bring water. Bring smiles for fellow enthusiasts. And maybe make it a point to pick up a couple of pieces of trash on your way down. #myverdugos #sweatyponytail

This is a consistent and steep incline for several miles. Not for a beginner. Truly incredible views and I sometimes bring a lunch to eat once I get to the top of the mountain to stop and enjoy the view.

Nice 1200ft elevation hike on a 6 mile loop. Great quick training run

Ass kicking elevation gain in a short distance. If you want to get in good cardio and leg strength training for hiking/backpacking, this route will save you time as it can be done in 2 hours round trip/~4mi at a moderate pace with minimal breaks. Watch out for coyotes!
