Very few other people for a Sunday afternoon. Quite a bit of wildlife, tarantula, quail, other general burds. Not too strenuous with great views.

Great hike; however, the last two miles after a 9 mile jaunt was brutal. I had to find the covered canyon trail and then tough out a brutal uphill to finish it off. All in all a fun time.

Good workout but pretty boring hike even with some wildflowers and birdsong. After "squirrel cage" steep up, rest of the ridge and canyon track are fire road, much if it paved with concrete squares courtesy of the Gas Co in the canyon.

Lots of burn trail with little coverage. Still beautiful. Start early to avoid the hot parts of the day.

Great 9.7 mile loop on fire roads and trails. Lots of birds, rabbits and quail.

Hiked this many times. Never the same. Not for the faint of heart. Bushwhacking, crawling, wear long pants and sleeves and gloves. Maybe even bring a saw! But so wild and beautiful.

I nice well paved trail with some good views of the ocean and valley. The two star drop is the sheer number of people. Go early or midweek.

This is a straightforward and accessible hike for just about anyone who can manage a wide, even-keeled fire road. Great views. Inclines are gradual and far from punishing. Good hike for all levels, with options to extend it further for folks who want more miles and a longer work out.

It was a typical Topanga hike. Not much shade. Hot August hike. Breeze was nice and we would have seen the ocean if there wasn’t fog.

Great mountain biking from the highlands up trailer canyon up to eagle rock. Great hill challengers and fun downhills.
