Fun hike. Not difficult. Plan on 2 hours without a lot of stopping.

Great hike through old growth forest (mostly). The “Boy Scout Tree” is off a little uphill side track. It is fabulous.
Very very muddy in places. A BIG tree (redwood big) was down on a bridge and required a crazy slippery detour. The app measured my trip in and back at over 6 miles.

Short and sweet. The grove has steel paving and nice signage. Completed in under an hour

Amazingly tall trees. No one tree was a standout as there were all very tall and many were just so wide. Excellent hike, and we were blessed with sunny weather

Short 2.8 mile round trip wide and flat hike through the redwoods. Lot of beauty and trees and photo opportunities. Easy easy hike that leads to more trails. Can easily mountain bike as well.

At the moment, the redwood creek trail is closed past Elam camp. We decided to attempt 44 creek loop and was completely impassable and dangerous. Also, the closed sign at Elam camp is very inaccurate on trail closures. Fortunately, it is a beautiful hike and there are lots of swimming holes all around.

Revelation trail. Short warm up hike through amazing trees. It’s fun and interesting to read the interpretive trail signs along the way.

Fern canyon. This is not a natural canyon. It was formed by hydraulic mining. Very popular trail. Arrive early to get a place to park. Bring extra shoes to walk through water.

Amazing hike. The redwoods are awe inspiring. Get the pass to the gate on line the day before you go. This is a down and back up trail.

Wonderful 4 hour hike at a leisurely pace. Was rated as strenuous but it really isn’t. There are two times when you have to climb about 400 feet and overall you are only going to climb about 1000’ cumulatively over about 8 miles. Gaia said the trip was over nine miles but the the trail markers indicate that the total distance is between 7.5 and 8 miles. Scenery is amazing. Prairie Creek is one of the Crown Jewels of the parks system. Rather come here than Yosemite.

Great hike! Giant tree marked with a sign. You can not see it from the trail. There is a small trail to the right that is easy to miss.

This hike was absolutely amazing with beautiful redwoods, the biggest I have seen! I will tell you, though, that it was NOT easy. I would rate it moderate, for sure.

This is a great, comfortable, and beautiful hike on a trail that is not that crowded. Def go to the beach and pack a lunch for a nice picnic when u get there. Just give yourself enough time to hike back bf dark, or bring a headlamp.

Amazing experience walking throuhg old growth forests with the majestic redwoods. Ferns were everywhere, and honestly actual Fern Canyon itself was a little bit of a let-down compared to what we had been hiking through but still very fun because of all the water crossings on logs and stones. Ending the trail with a beach hike on a pristine beach was the perfect way to complete a hike that had a bit of everything.

Beautiful hike. Nice walk in the woods. No crazy climbs. And then took the extra hike to the beach which was totally worth it. Trail was well maintained and easy to follow. Would def recommend for a nice day hike.

Trail head was not marked and it is very overgrown at both ends of the trail. When you get to the beach side of the trail head there is no place to sit and eat lunch, so you might want to plan your lunch for somewhere in the middle. The beach side is very disappointing. Definitely won’t be doing this trail again but hopefully it will get some much needed maintenance and development at some point.

Easy stroll through the Redwoods. Park like setting. Incline to and from the parking area. Must do. Worth every second.

This place is magical. The biggest trees in the world, all in one grove, yes please!

Use to be an old road that is overgrown with brush and lots of thorns. The side hike was even worst and had to turn around as the trail disappeared.

Beautiful. Came during middle of week and had the place to ourselves.
