While the trail itself is rather boring (you're mostly walking up a graded dirt road), the sites along the way are super interesting. Lots of canyon oaks, an old homestead from the 1800s, plane crash site, and some historic signage too. The fire observation tower at the summit is active, and if rangers are present they might give you a tour.
