I’ve been hiking in the US for decades - and this short hike is perhaps my very favorite. I’ll agree with the other reviewer. It is not easy! There is a lot of scrambling (hiking poles recommended). On a hot day, it is a great hike in late afternoon, since most of the trail will be shaded by adjacent mountains. I (inadvertently) hiked it going counterclockwise through sunset. The sunset reflecting on the mountains was simply breathtaking.

This is NOT an easy hike. We spent a lot of time on steep trails with loose rocks. Some time route finding. A little class 4 scrambling.
It was beautiful and we saw lots of birds.
The loop around Bren was 3.8 miles and took 4 hrs.

Easy trail with some elevation. Nice long ridge walk. Views the entire time. No shade.
