The trail is well maintained, in the shade, easy to navigate and short. My knees are sensitive but with braces, boot with ankle support & hiking poles they did very well. Highly recommend this hike.

After a good rainy season, Queen’s Canyon has a beautiful Poppy bloom. Very interesting rock formations- esp., skull head rock!

Great ride from Yuma to Brenda. Stayed mostly on the AZPT. Nothing to difficult for our SxS. The peace trail isn’t marked at all on this entire route. I was also using Avenza app to keep on the peace trail.

The new turnoff to the pass really puts you though a few miles of some dusty track. But once you pass that part it’s a scenic and fairly non technical trip to the pass. Once you Lin the pass there are some scenic spots to pull out the chairs take pictures and have a picnic.

This is a great ‘get out and do something hike’ that doesn’t take much planning. It’s an easy drive on a good road. Then it’s just a meandering trek across some very colorful desert. Kofa is a beautiful place, particularly with the wet spring we’ve been having. The Beavertail cactus, ocotillo, and brittle bush are just lit up with color. The cholla cactus look like their getting ready.
Must wear boots. Getting through the cholla gardens does require you to be aware of the cholla sections released from the main plants laying on the ground. The spines will go though boots so also carry pliers! It’s not that bad to walk though - awareness of what you’re stepping on or over in the desert is just common sense.
