Unreal views of both the lagoon and the mountainous countryside on the other side. There are a few huts along the way with tea and drinks.

Guided hike from Secret Garden Cotopaxi hostel to the summit. Various terrains ranging from forests, minor rock climbing, river beds, and some fields. Mostly uphill the entire way. Very muddy terrain requiring rain boots that are provided by the hostel. Cloudy at the top but provides view of the valley. On a clear day you can see Quito.

Enjoyed the hike. There were many views of the lake. The trail was well marked. Saw some pretty wild flowers. The initial ascent was challenging.

Most of the route takes you within sight of the lake, so it’s a beautiful hike.

Great hike, fun finish along a ridgeline, a little bit of scrambling at the top. Great warm up, Acclimatizing hike for any of the bigger volcanoes.

Some of the best views in the world. Easy to get lost on the trail but easy to find your way back. Spend a few days getting used to the air and wear sunscreen!

Really good hike I did it in one day, took me 10h for 40kms. I met nice locals, awesome view and variety of animals. And the final is just amazing with the laguna.

This area is stunning, descending down through the different eco-systems and micro-climates. Trail is good until the turn around where it becomes over grown and poorly marked through the river.

We had to get back pretty quickly so we did about 1/3 of the loop and turned back! It was lovely and the views from the lake are incredible.
