The is hike circles Lake Hardy through mixed forest with beautiful stands of hemlock, maple white pine and oak. We completed the full in 3 hours at a good pace. The trail was crowded at the start with walkers seeking to just see the lake and do the short initial loop. Minimal elevation changes with most of the trail hugging the lake.
