Well built and maintained Provincial Park trail with bridges and stairs. My track recorded is only partial due to gps phone failure. Actual distance is about 5.5 km. This is a great starter and first camp on the way to Cream Lake and alpine side trips. Pay for your back country camping permit at the trailhead. Access road was just regraded so now passable with somewhat aggressive 2WD driving. I counted 7 wood tent pads at Baby Bedwell. Trail also popular with day hikers.

Track is pretty good but I’m pretty sure past the ‘meadow’ the track would require climbing… look for flagging and a gully at 4.7 km from parking lot.

Amazing alpine hike. Well marked trails. Fairly easy going all the way. We made lots of stops for photos and taking it all in and still came in around 2.5 hours- a 9 km route. Very few other hikers on the trails, nice cool weather for perfect hiking conditions. Loved it!

Excellent hike. I made it to landslide in 3 1/2 hours at 12.4km I pushed on another 2.2km to berg lake which was much harder and took almost an hour but well worth it

Great trail to test your conditioning. Essential to keep hydrating because the trail is uphill the whole way. Proximity of Drinkwater river was refreshing. Weather was hot and mosquitoes were prevalent shortly after leaving the trailhead until km2. The original railway bed was a bit boggy. Worth traveling light and doing the love lake trail the next day on the way back to the great central lake trailhead
