A lot of fallen trees on this route, water was beautiful to have as a backdrop to this hike but there’s one very muddy area that you have to scramble over and many trees you need to hop over to get around

Okay hike for beginners or just warming up for backpacking season. The camping area at halfmoon beach is nothing special and nothing much to do around. Can get boring on long days. The trail itself is also not so beautiful in my opinion.

Really hard route finding lots of vertical drops and climbs but managed with out ropes took 11 hours

Micro spikes saved the day making it possible to get high enough to take in amazing views .. lots of ice.

Very busy camping at the top and lots of smoke obstructed the views but a great hike overall. Nice that there was a water source at the top.

Rainy day hike with Mitch totally socked in so next to nothing for views unfortunately. The rain kept the bugs down so that was nice. Only saw one other person (a trail runner near the top) the entire way up after the turn off. Good little workout hike day.

We started out from the East Canyon Trail, past the fork to the Lower Fall and continued up until we reached the narrow rugged path on the left which lead down the canyon to the Upper Fall. This part was a bit challenging but the view of the fall and the Gold Creek was well worth it. Views of the creek below the canyon can be seen along the Lower Fall Trail which lead us back to the Lower Fall. From there, the trail back to the parking lot was easy and very pleasant.

I’m not saying this can’t be done in 1:15, I’m just saying I don’t think I could do it in that time if I had a dirt bike. Awesome hike, but realistically plan for 2 hours each way.

I ran about 2/3 of it. The first 4km and last 4km stretches are double track with river rocks so be wise in foot placement.

Route from Golden Ears to Blanshard is a difficult Mountaineering Route that requires vertical bushwacking, exposed ridgeline scrambling, roped vertical climbing and roped rappelling.

Started the hike at around 7:30 am. It was pouring for the first hour or so. Took the East Canyon Trail to Viewpoint Beach. Hiked back on the trail to East-West Connector bridge. Crossed the bridge to get on West Canyon Trail. We took a detour to Lower Falls viewpoint. Beautiful viewpoint and unique view compared to one from Lower Falls trail. Took the Menzies trail back to Gold Creek parking lot. Hike to Lower Falls viewpoint from West Canyon trail was the highlight for me.

Our first overnight hike and this spot did not disappoint! Pretty quiet on the trails when we left at 10am. Crossed from west to east canyon at the bridge. Trail opened up and then crowded in at about 6km. Ended up off trail and bushwhacking a. It, but found our way back. Quiet beach, most spots are away from the water but we grabbed a nice spot right beside. So lovely! !

One of my favourite hikes! Clearly marked hike with lots of viewpoints. Had three kids in tow so this hike could be done much faster as well.
