We walked up the fire trail, had a quick dip and followed the rocky river back until we re entered the fire trail as it was starting to get dark.

This is an Australian historic ruins hike. They were mining shale oil there in the 1910 - 30s. It’s an easy walk following the creek. Lots of wild life, Kookaburras and Wallaby’s, Wombats and Spotted tail Quals and Regent Honey Eaters. There’s a rudimentary campground there and some great hikes in the area.
