Great afternoon hike with great views. A definite must hike in the Sandia’s.

Truly one of our favorite hikes, especially in the fall when pinions are at their best. Sometimes excessive, unleashed dogs on the trail can be quite distracting. We have found that hiking mid-week is best to avoid the crowds and unruly dogs. A great location for a decent workout close to town.

Piedra Lisa South TH-Rincon Ridge - (5/9/2019byDB)
Notes: 1. The distance was 4.5 miles but only 3.6 is indicated because I didn’t notice the app’s recording was paused. 1a. The Piedra Lisa trail out and back to the Roncon ridge trails is 4.2 miles but I Hiked Rincon Ridge Trail for a while for additional .3 miles. 2. Ignore the little out and back about halfway down as I was exploring a side trail and it was still recording 3. Though the recording is not perfect I wanted to test sharing pictures through the Gaia GPS website. 4. It is an absolutely beautiful trail with awesome canyon and large rock faces.
