Cottonwood Pass Road
Overview
This is a very popular route for off roaders. And may be boring to hikers. It is just a... rocky road. I hike and off road. To hike, I suggest the hiking/bicycle trails to the East and West of the parking areas, where Cottonwood Pass Road road meet 160. The East side here, connects to the Late Nite Trail head, across the street. The hiking/bicycle trails here, are the Dead Horse Loop. Here you will be away from the dust and motor noise, which is popular on weekends and holidays.
Getting Started
Once you turn South from 160 on Cottonwood Pass Road, you will see an immediate parking lot on your right. With bathrooms. On busy weekends and holidays, this lot can be full of off roaders unloading/loading machines. If drive past that. And go another 0.5 ish mile, on your left there is another parking lot. Smaller. Has wood fence posts on a side of it. Usually non motorists park here. And hike East, on Dead Horse Loop.
