Overview

This is a easy out and back trail in Montaña de Oro State Park.

This trail goes by Badger Flat Camp / Site e3.

The hike to the top of Valencia while easy for an experienced hiker, there are some sections that can get kind of technical so for those who are not as stable on their feet it might be wise to bring a hiking stick for a little extra support. that being said the view is breathtaking, and for those willing to get up early it is one of the best places to watch the sunrise in SLO county.

Getting Started

You can park infront of the ranch house or along the main road from 6am-10pm it can get kind of crowded during the weekends and holidays but you can normally find a spot.

Taking Children

As long as your kid is comfortable hiking you shouldn't have an issue, but there some some steep technical parts close to the top, most kids can get to the top without an issue just don't forget water and a snack for the top.
