Overview
This is an easy loop trail in William B. Umstead State Park, a well-maintained and popular, urban green space. Many additional routes are available, but this is a great loop from the easily accessible parking entrance at Reedy Creek.
The trails are spacious, but can still be crowded at peak times, such as after work or on weekends in nice weather.
This alternate route shortens the full Co Mill Loop by about a mile, by following the road/bike trail near the remote end.

Taking Children
Great trail for families, and many children enjoying the trail. You can easily do a shorter in and out hike, rather than the full loop.
