Overview
This is an easy and pleasant section of the Foothills Trail. The entire section is well-maintained and easy to follow, though there are some muddy spots close to the Sloan Bridge trailhead.
This trail goes by Sloan Bridge Picnic Area, Upper Sloan Bridge Falls, Lower Sloan Bridge Falls, and Hiker's Peril Falls.
Getting Started
There are good parking areas for a reasonable number of cars at both trailheads. It is a 5 minute drive between them, if you need to shuttle.
Taking Children
This is a safe and easy trail. Good for children and leashed pets if you stay on the trail.

This is a fairly easy trail, well marked and maintained, a few muddy spots....the portion of the trail that goes to Hiker's Peril Falls is in good shape. There was a new boardwalk and stairs added just past the Falls heading towards the Fish Hatchery to get over a badly eroded section of the Foothills Trail. Overall, very pleasant hike in the woods, several easy stream crossings.
