San Juan Hill via Rimcrest Trailhead in Chino Hills SP
San Juan Hill is the highest point in Chino Hills State Park, and was once a critical triangulation marker for surveys across southern California (http://www.amerisurv.com/PDF/TheAmericanSurveyor_Satalich-SoCalTriangulationPart1_Vol10No7.pdf ) I have previously written up this hike as a loop hike on our outdoors blog ( http://www.greeneadventures.com/2013/01/06/charging-up-san-juan-hill-the-highest-point-in-chino-hills-state-park/ ). Parking is free at Rimcrest. No dogs allowed. VERY exposed hike with only one legit tree, so go early or go on a cool, clear winter day for great 360 views from Catalina to Big Bear.
