Trail of the Coeur d’ Alene
Sunny and warm each day.
Day 1 Anne and I went from Harrison to Plummer and back. First 10 miles along lake with long bridge. Last 6 miles into Plummer was up through woods.
Day 2, I drove to Cataldo and biked back to her in Harrison. I crossed paths with mamma moose and her calf on the way there. On the way back we say 2 bull moose. Epic 27 miles with river and wetlands the whole way and totally flat.
These 2 days make this trail epic.
Day 3. Solo 30 miles to Mullan and 7 miles back to Wallace. First 7 miles to to Pine Creek super scenic with river changing to rippling stream and mountains close. Then intersects with I-90 and last 23 miles OK. Exception is Wallace is awesome. Historic, laid back, and not too crowded or expensive.
