Pyramid Rock Loop via Grouse Vista Trail #180F
Overview
This is a moderate loop trail in Gifford Pinchot National Forest.
This trail goes by Pyramid Rock and Rock Creek Falls.
This trail requires some wayfinding, as it splits off into several different paths. If you are using your GPS, it's easy enough to navigate. The hike to pyramid rock is beautiful, and during the summer months, very hot and dry. Bring plenty of water.
Getting Started
The road to get to this trail is very bad. It's extremely rutted out, and you can see broken pieces of car strewn throughout the road. To get all the way to the top of the trail, 4WD and high clearance is absolutely required. You can park down below, but it will add an additional 1.5-2 miles to your hike depending on where you can find a spot.
Taking Children
This trail is moderate during moderate temperatures, and difficult during hot days. Bringing children is not advisable during hot days.
